Erwandern Sie die Westküste Lykiens! Zu Beginn erwartet Sie mit Patara einer der schönsten Strände der Türkei. Der 12 km lange Sandstrand ist, als Schutzgebiet für Meeresschildkröten und seltene Vögel, unverbaut und naturbelassen. Ihre Wanderungen führen Sie auf hoch über dem Meer verlaufenden Pfaden, die Ihnen traumhafte Ausblicke auf die Küste und die bis zu 3.000 m hohen Gipfel des Taurusgebirges bieten. Dramatisch zeigt sich die Steilküste bei Alınca, im Hinterland finden sich typische Kulturlandschaften. Pinienwälder, Olivenhaine und mediterrane Macchia säumen die Wege. Sie wandern über antike Aquädukte und kommen mit den Ruinen von Patara und Xanthos zu bedeutenden Zeugnissen der Lykier.

Follow in the footsteps of Alexander the Great along the historic paths that stretch 509 km from Fethiye to Antalya. This ancient route, once used by the great conqueror himself, offers a journey through history.
Immerse yourself in the natural beauty along the long-distance hiking trail, characterized by the towering peaks of the Taurus Mountains, dense forests, beautiful bays, and ancient archaeological sites. Wander through idyllic mountain villages and enjoy the fresh, crisp air at an altitude of about 800 meters. Marvel at the stunning coastal hikes that lead you to the nesting sites of sea turtles in the sandy bay of Patara.
Cultural highlights of this trip include visits to the ancient ruins of Phellos, the birthplace of St. Nicholas, and the famous rock-cut tombs of Myra. At the end of your journey, relax by the turquoise sea in Cavus Bay near Adrasan or embark on more hikes and excursions in the stunning surroundings.
TOUR ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival
Flight from Germany to Antalya. Short transfer to the hotel in the old town. The rest of the day is at your leisure.
Day 2: From Ovacik to Faralya
After an early breakfast, transfer (about 3 hours) to Ölüdeniz. Our introductory hike begins above Ölüdeniz in Ovacik. The hike offers a wonderful view over the bay of Ölüdeniz and ends in Faralya, above the famous Butterfly Valley. Overnight stay in a pension in Faralya.
Day 3: From Faralya to Alinca
The bus takes us to Faralya, the starting point of today's hike. First, we hike to Kabak, where we enjoy coffee at "Mama's Restaurant." We continue with a beautiful view over Kabak Bay and finally ascend to the village of Alinca at an altitude of 900 meters. From here, we drive to the Kinik plain near the ruins of Patara before returning to the hotel. Hotel overnight stay.
Day 4: From Alinca to Bel
In the morning, we drive back up to Alinca (about 1 hour) to begin the hike. We hike with a beautiful view over the cliffs, first descending to the vicinity of the village of Bogazköy, then continuing via the village of Gey to Bel. We then drive to Patara to the St. Nicholas Pension. Overnight stay in the pension.
Day 5: From Bel to Gavuragili
Today's stage begins in the already familiar village of Bel. The descent to Karadere Turtle Beach is very steep and rocky. To refresh ourselves, we swim in the sea and enjoy a cool drink. The beach is a protected area where sea turtles lay their eggs. Overnight stay in the already familiar pension.
Day 6: Patara - Akbel
We hike directly from our pension to the ancient city of Patara, where St. Nicholas grew up. The hike continues to Akbel. Along the way, we see the aqueducts of the city with a specific system that was used in the past to carry water over a depression. The bus picks us up in Akbel and we drive half an hour to the pension.
Day 7: From Gökceören to Cukurbag
Bus ride (about 1 hour) from Patara to Gökceören. Here we begin today's stage and hike in constant ups and downs, partly on forest roads, partly on goat paths to Cukurbag. Along the way, we visit the ruins of Phellos at an altitude of 1,000 meters, a cult city of the Lycians. For the overnight stay, we drive half an hour down to the picturesque coastal town of Kas.
Day 8: From Bayindir to Apollonia
Today's tour leads along the coast again. The starting point is outside the village of Bayindir on a small pasture at an altitude of about 200 meters. The hike first leads along the coast over rocky paths. At midday, there is an opportunity for a refreshing swim in the sea. We are then ready for the long ascent, which ends over the fields of Sahilkilincli. From here, we drive to the fishing village and harbor town of Ücagiz. Overnight stay in the Onur Pension in Ücagiz.
Day 9: Free Day
On this boot-free day, an optional excursion to the ancient city of Myra, famous for its rock-cut tombs and the Church of St. Nicholas where St. Nicholas was a bishop for some time, is worthwhile.


Day 10: From Apollonia to Ücagiz
After visiting the ruins of the Lycian city of Apollonia, we hike down to the coast. Along the way, we encounter the ruins of the ancient city of Aperlaie. We continue across the narrow plain of the Sicak Peninsula back towards Ücagiz. There is an opportunity for swimming along the way. Overnight stay in the pension in Ücagiz.
Day 11: From Kapakli to Ücagiz
We start another beautiful coastal hike after a 20-minute drive to Kapakli. After a short descent, we reach the coast. We continue hiking until we reach Simena, where we visit the Lycian Castle and take a break. The stage ends again in Ücagiz. Overnight stay in the pension in Ücagiz.
Day 12: Beach Holiday in Adrasan
Today we drive from Ücagiz to Adrasan (about 2 ½ hours) and begin our beach holiday in the bay of Adrasan. The hotel is located only 200 meters from the long sandy beach of Cavus Bay, right by the turquoise sea in the middle of a national park. It is an ideal starting point for optional hikes and nature excursions! An optional boat trip through the beautiful bays of the Mediterranean is also available. Your hiking guide will gladly provide tips for leisure activities and help you book optional offers.
Day 13: The Eternal Flames of Chimera
We drive half an hour up to the village of Ulupinar. Today, a comfortable hike through ancient times awaits us. First through a quaint village, then along mule trails, we reach the highest point of the hike at 330 meters. Here, the first flames can already be seen. About an hour later, we reach the main flames. Since Bellerophon killed the fire-breathing, flying monster, Chimera, its flames have flickered from the rock crevices. We continue to Olympos, one of the most important cities of Lycia, which served as a pirate nest for a long time, with a beautiful beach inviting for a swim.
Day 14: Transfer to Antalya
In the early afternoon, the bus takes us to Antalya. Hotel overnight stay.
Day 15: Departure
Breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport, and departure, or continuation program. Travel time to the airport is about 20 minutes.
