Erwandern Sie die Westküste Lykiens! Zu Beginn erwartet Sie mit Patara einer der schönsten Strände der Türkei. Der 12 km lange Sandstrand ist, als Schutzgebiet für Meeresschildkröten und seltene Vögel, unverbaut und naturbelassen. Ihre Wanderungen führen Sie auf hoch über dem Meer verlaufenden Pfaden, die Ihnen traumhafte Ausblicke auf die Küste und die bis zu 3.000 m hohen Gipfel des Taurusgebirges bieten. Dramatisch zeigt sich die Steilküste bei Alınca, im Hinterland finden sich typische Kulturlandschaften. Pinienwälder, Olivenhaine und mediterrane Macchia säumen die Wege. Sie wandern über antike Aquädukte und kommen mit den Ruinen von Patara und Xanthos zu bedeutenden Zeugnissen der Lykier.

Hike through bizarre rock needles and fairy chimneys, past rock-hewn churches and ancient cave dwellings. Your journey will take you through green valleys, over gentle hills, and to historical sites. The clear views and the beauty of Cappadocia will create unforgettable moments for you.

TOUR ITINERARY
1. Day: Arrival
Flight to Kayseri or Nevşehir. Transfer to the hotel. 5x overnight stays in Göreme / Cappa Cave or Elysee Cave Hotel or similar.
2. Day: Göreme and the Zemi Valley
After breakfast, you walk through the streets of Göreme. Most of the dwellings, many of which were built centuries ago, have been chicly converted into hotels and guesthouses. First, you hike a few kilometers with a view of Uchisar Castle along a dirt road, then you go down to the Zemi Valley. This path leads you through Görkündere back to Göreme. The scenery will fascinate you. 13 km, Ascent: 270 m, Descent: 270 m
3. Day: Göreme Open Air Museum and the amazing tuff formations in the Rose Valley
You walk from your hotel to the Göreme Open Air Museum (Unesco World Heritage Site), the frescoes in the churches in the museum are unique. After the visit, you walk through the Meskendir Valley and over the Red Valley to the Üzümlü Church. At the open-air restaurant of Ibrahim right next to the Üzümlü Church, you can have a delicious lunch and drink freshly squeezed orange juice. After the lunch break, you walk with a spectacular panorama over the Rose Valley back to Göreme. 14 km, Ascent: 510 m, Descent: 450 m
4. Day: Baglidere (White Valley), Uchisar Castle, Güvercinlik (Pigeon Valley)
Most of the time, it's a path that leads you through Baglidere. Why the valley is also called Love Valley will become clear when you stand in front of the first group of fairy chimneys. After Baglidere (White Valley), you hike up to Uchisar Castle. If you want, you can climb up to the castle because the view from above is unique. Then you hike through Uchisar and down to Pigeon Valley and through Pigeon Valley back to your hotel in Göreme. 13.1 km, Ascent: 430 m, Descent: 380 m
5. Day: Paşabağ, Çavuşin, Hacli Kilise, Göreme
We have a short transfer from the hotel to Paşabağ, where the most peculiar fairy chimneys are located. After a round through the bizarre tuff cones, you hike along a path to the Çavuşin Castle, where you can visit the "Church of John the Baptist." Today you hike along the higher path parallel to the Boztepe hill with a spectacular view of the Rose Valley and the other valleys. On the descent to Göreme, you can visit the "Church with the Cross" and drink freshly squeezed orange juice there. 12.5 km, Ascent: 480 m, Descent: 400 m
6. Day: From the Castle in Ortahisar to the village of Mustafapaşa (Sinasos)
Your hike begins near the small tuff castle Ortahisar and leads you over dirt roads and paths through the Gomeda Valley, known for its multi-story pigeon houses, to your hotel in Mustafapaşa (Sinasos). 2x overnight stays in a cave hotel in Mustafapaşa (Sinasos) / Konak Bezirhane Cave Hotel or similar.


7. Day: From the village of Cemil via Golgoli to Mustafapaşa (Sinasos)
After breakfast in the cave restaurant of your hotel, you will be driven briefly to the village of Cemil. You will hike along a path to the old settlement of Golgoli. In Christian times, the population of Mustafapaşa – "Sinasos" celebrated the birth of the Virgin Mary and Easter here. You can visit the abandoned cave dwellings. The connecting tunnel to the Gomeda Valley is partially collapsed and therefore cannot be walked through, but there are still some tunnels and underground dwellings to discover. A dirt road leads you down to the village of Mustafapaşa to your hotel. 12 km, Ascent: 350 m, Descent: 460 m
8. Day: Departure
Transfer to Kayseri or Nevşehir Airport and flight home.
