Erwandern Sie die Westküste Lykiens! Zu Beginn erwartet Sie mit Patara einer der schönsten Strände der Türkei. Der 12 km lange Sandstrand ist, als Schutzgebiet für Meeresschildkröten und seltene Vögel, unverbaut und naturbelassen. Ihre Wanderungen führen Sie auf hoch über dem Meer verlaufenden Pfaden, die Ihnen traumhafte Ausblicke auf die Küste und die bis zu 3.000 m hohen Gipfel des Taurusgebirges bieten. Dramatisch zeigt sich die Steilküste bei Alınca, im Hinterland finden sich typische Kulturlandschaften. Pinienwälder, Olivenhaine und mediterrane Macchia säumen die Wege. Sie wandern über antike Aquädukte und kommen mit den Ruinen von Patara und Xanthos zu bedeutenden Zeugnissen der Lykier.

BAYS OF APHRODITE
CARIAN TRAIL - BAYS OF APHRODITE
It is said that the statue of Aphrodite was once so beautiful that people traveled from afar to Caria just to see it. Today it has vanished – yet its allure still lives on in Caria. Along the coast, countless bays line up like pearls, with hidden beaches, crystal-clear waters, and small fishing villages. We hike along ancient paths through pine forests and across white limestone, always accompanied by views of the turquoise sea. On the way, we encounter traces of bygone times in Phoinix, Amos, and Loryma. The peninsulas of Datça and Bozburun unite nature and history in a truly unique way. A destination that slows you down, touches your heart, and stays with you for a long time!
TOUR ITINERARY
Day 1: Flight to Dalaman
Arrival and transfer to the hotel in Dalyan (3 nights).
Day 2: The dreamy bay of Asi Koyu
Transfer to Sarigerme. Right next to the holiday resort, a secluded wilderness unfolds with hidden bays along the Carian coast. The end of the hike is a true reward: the tranquil bay of Asi Koyu, perfect for a refreshing swim break (walking time: 3 ½ hrs, +/- 450 m). Afterwards, transfer to Dalyan. The day concludes with a boat trip through the reed beds and a visit to the ancient city of Kaunos.
Day 3: Hike Inardi to Asi Koyu
Transfer to the hiking area. Through shady pine forests and along quiet forest tracks, we reach the hidden bays of Inardi. The trail continues on solitary coastal paths until we once again arrive at the picturesque bay of Asi Koyu (walking time: 5 hrs, +330 m / -360 m). Afterwards, transfer back to Dalyan.
Day 4: Bay of Ekincik
We take a boat ride through the reed channel to Candir. From there, our hike begins along the coast leading to the beautiful bay of Ekincik (walking time: 4 hrs, +/- 320 m). Before continuing, there is time for a swim or a cool drink. Transfer to Bozburun (6 nights).
Day 5: At Leisure
How about an optional boat tour? Or would you prefer to just let your soul unwind on the beach?
Day 6: Hike Kizilköy to Selimiye
A short drive through rustic villages takes us to the farming hamlet of Kizilköy. First, we explore the ruins of an ancient city with its acropolis perched on a hill. We then continue our hike, with the former fishing village of Selimiye as our destination, where a swim break awaits us (walking time: 4 hrs, +160 m / -370 m). Afterwards, transfer back to Bozburun.
Day 7: Circuit trek around Taslica
Short transfer to Taslica. The hike leads through the ruins of Phoinix and continues up to a saddle with sweeping views reaching as far as the island of Rhodes. Along the way, we encounter wild donkeys and horses (walking time: 4 ½ hrs, +450 m / -320 m). Back in Taslica, the hike comes to an end. Afterwards, transfer to Bozburun and a swim break at the hotel.
Day 8: Boat trip
Today we explore the hiking trails to the bays from the sea, without having to hike ourselves. On the program are several bays with crystal-clear waters, including lunch and swim breaks.
Day 9: Hike Sögüt & Bozburun
The hike begins at a viewpoint above Sögüt, offering sweeping views over the bays of the Bozburun Peninsula and across to the Greek island of Symi. We first descend to the fishing village of Sögüt, walking along its long beach and passing a Carian burial monument. The trail then leads through maquis landscapes and past the Bozburun shipyard, until we reach our hotel (walking time: 4 hrs, +180 m / -350 m).
Day 10: From Bozburun to Selimiye
On today’s panoramic hike around the peninsula, we enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding bays and mountains. Our destination is the village of Selimiye (walking time: 4 hrs, +/- 270 m). Afterwards, we continue on to our next base in Akyaka (2 nights).
Day 11: Hike from Çardak to Akyaka
After a short transfer, we begin our hike through shady pine forests along the coast. We pass small farming villages and, for most of the way, enjoy beautiful views of the sea. At the end of the tour, a final swim break invites us to relax (walking time: 5 hrs, +/- 350 m).
Day 12: Journey home
It is time to say farewell – güle güle! Transfer to the airport and flight home.
